Paul B. Lijdsman CAIB, Owner
Insurance experience since 1985.
Born and raised in Oyen, Paul & his wife Bev have one girl (who joined the office in 2008) and 4 boys. A strong supporter of all the local communities, Paul has participated in many service and non profit clubs as well as joining the Oyen Volunteer Fire Department in 1981 and is now the Fire Chief and Safety Codes Officer. When not in the office, Paul likes to follow his family in minor hockey. Hunting, fishing, and camping are other ways he likes to get away from it all.
Danelle Lijdsman CIP, Broker

Danelle was born and raised in Oyen and is the daughter of Paul and Bev Lijdsman. She graduated from the Business Administration and Insurance program though Mt Royal College in 2005 as well as the Chartered Insurance Professionals program with the Insurance Institue of Canada in 2006. Since graduating she has worked with Del Fisher Insurance and Marsh Canada both in Calgary AB. She is now back to Lijdman Insurance as the 4th generation Insurance Broker.
Spencer Mehl, Broker
Insurance experience since 2005
Born and raised in Oyen with a farming background, after graduating High School in 2004, Spencer moved to Calgary for 2 years where he attended Mount Royal College and completed his Business of Insurance and Administration Diploma. While still in college, he wrote his insurance licence and got a job as a broker at Fleming Insurance. In 2006 he moved back home to Oyen to work at Lijdsman Insurance and farm. He is a member of the Oyen Volunteer Fire Department, Manager for the Oyen Eagles Senior Mens Baseball Team, and Assistant Coach for the Oyen Eagles Senior Mens Hockey Team. He enjoys snowmobiling, playing baseball, hockey, golf, fishing, and hunting.
Trudy Hittel, Office Manager
Insurance experience since 1989
Born & raised in Oyen, she is the granddaughter, daughter, and sister of the Lijdsman Insurance Inc family. She has been working alongside her brother, Paul (Owner) for over 20 years. Trudy also attends to the Alberta Registry, Fish & Game and on the side sells Travel Vacations for Marlin Travel. In her spare time, Trudy enjoys curling, watching her nephews play hockey, camping, and cooking/baking.
Bev Lijdsman, Accts Dept
Bev had taken Business Administration at Mount Royal in Calgary. After college Bev worked at TD Bank for 5 years. Bev & Paul started their family in 1984 and after their 2nd child Bev decided to stay home and raise her family which grew to 5 childern. Bev also kept busy in minor hockey manageing the food both and being Treasurer for a number of years.
